These two songs have been pressing on my heart for awhile now. Ironically enough, I've heard it both at praise and worship this week. I love Passion's cover for He knows my name. I guess what I loved about hearing these two songs this past week, is the fact that it tied in to the sermon today. I find it amazing how, despite all our flaws, our mistakes, and our sins, that God always forgives, and loves us unconditionally. He also knows us inside out. Whatever we do, our every thought, our next move, and how our life is going to be. Even though we have goals that we set out for ourselves, and plan our lives out, ultimately it's God's purpose that prevails. All we need to do really, is trust in Him, and that he will provide. I know I may doubt that from time to time, and get impatient, but at the end of the day.. I remind myself that I need to have faith in God, as He knows what's best for me.
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him. (Psalm 37:3-5, 7a)
